Accrington woman used shoplifting as 'therapy for depression'

A 35-YEAR-OLD woman told police she went shoplifting because it made her feel better.
Magistrates heard Rehana Bibi had no previous convictions but he had been cautioned and given a fixed penalty for similar offences.
Bibi, of Coniston Avenue, Accrington, pleaded guilty to stealing groceries worth £64 from Iceland. She was given a conditional discharge for six months.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said: “She said she was feeling suicidal and it makes her feel better to shoplift.”
