A 25-YEAR-OLD man resorted to living in a tent in the woods to try and evade police after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Aaron Gardner failed to turn up for a court case in Blackpool after he was charged with assaulting his former partner Samantha Parsons on the Golden Mile.
Magistrates found him guilty in his absence and issued the warrant for Gardner, an odd job man from Devonshire Road, Clayton le Moors.
He eventually gave himself up after his mother gave police his mobile Judge Jeff Brailsford adjourned sentencing Gardner pending reports.
