BUDDING pigeon fanciers are being encouraged to come forwards by Accrington and District Homing Society.
The club, which has members aged eight to 86, has just received three junior pigeon lofts from the Royal Pigeon Racing Association Future of Sport Committee, which can be loaned to those taking up the hobby.
The club is offering a new starter package to new entrants which comprises a loft, clock to time the birds when they return from the race and 10 young birds to start racing next year. Allotments for the lofts are also available to those without gardens.
Anyone interested in taking up pigeon racing as a sport should contact Peter Hargreaves on 07747 628 968.
