Wearing wellies for work?
3:45pm Friday 13th July 2012 in Health
WOMEN are being told to stop ‘pussyfooting around’ and spread the word about gynaecological cancer.
Every year 18,000 women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer in the UK, and 7,700 will die.
The Eve Appeal is dedicated to raising awareness of the five gynaecological cancers, and in September, will ask women to join in with their Funny Feet campaign.
Funny Feet encourages people to learn about the signs and symptoms of these cancers and to raise money to fund vital world-class research.
To take part in Funny Feet you just have to wear the ‘wrong shoes’ somewhere and make a donation to The Eve Appeal.
This could include wearing wellies to work, slippers to school or flip flops to football.
To learn more about symptoms or for more information on how to register for Funny Feet, go to www.eveappeal.org.uk.
