A HOSPITAL charity fayre has raised hundreds of pounds for patients in its three rehabilitation wards.
This year's Friends of Pendle Community Hospital Christmas Fayre raised £375 in total to benefit patients on the wards.
Volunteers, hospital staff and businesses offered their support with artisan stalls, coffee shop, book stall, teddy bear stall, tombola and raffle to entertain patients, staff and visitors.
The annual community event, held inside the hospital’s main reception, saw East Lancashire Hospitals Trust chief executive Kevin McGee join the crowds to enjoy four hours of activities.
Kath Haworth, chair of the friends of Pendle community hospital, said: “The Friends of Pendle Community Hospital Christmas Fayre is an important event in the hospital’s calendar.
"Every penny of the £375 raised goes directly to the Friends of Pendle Community Hospital charitable fund which helps support the patients, visitors and staff at the hospital.”
“In particular, we’d like to thank local companies Schofields butchers, Bookers of Burnley, Oddies in Nelson, Allsorts Nelson Market and Relish Sandwich Shop.
"Special thanks also goes to Pendle Hippodrome Youth Theatre who donated two tickets for their production of Annie (February 14-17)."
