A NEW sexual health service has opened for under 25s at a college.

The walk-in clinic for college students has been launched at Nelson and Colne College .

It will see health specialists provide comprehensive contraceptive services and testing and treatment to young people for sexual transmitted infections, including HIV in a single appointment.

Lancashire Care’s Contraception and Sexual Health Service (CaSH) in partnership with Brook, the young people’s charity, has opened the clinic for people aged up to 25.

Rachel Emmott, from the community sexual health team, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer sexual health services to under 25s from Nelson and Colne College.

“Under 25s can access free condoms, contraception, testing and treatment for sexually-transmitted infections, and advice and information in a single appointment.

“We hope that young people make the most of this new clinic and look forward to welcoming new and existing clients.”

Students can visit the walk in clinic from October 3, and the clinic will be open every Tuesday during term time from between 11.30am and 1.30pm.
