A NEW report has been published by a health watchdog to highlight the views of A&E service users.

A survey of 153 people in six hospitals in Lancashire, including Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital, found that 45 per cent of patients had not gained medical advice prior to attending accident and emergency departments.

The survey by Healthwatch Lancashire and Healthwatch Blackpool also found that five per cent of patients were not happy with the service, with the majority discussing waiting times as an issue.
