FIVE East Lancashire medical practices have been rated 'outstanding' for their projects into a heart condition and high blood pressure in patients.
Practices in East Lancashire submitted quality improvement projects as posters for peer review.
The projects aimed to improve health care services and the health status of targeted patient groups in the area.
Practices recognised as outstanding were: Dill Hall Surgery in Accrington (Hypertension),Dr Bello’s Surgery in Accrington (Hypertension), Padiham Group Practice in Burnley (Atrial Fibrillation), Pendle View Medical Centre in Nelson (Atrial Fibrillation), Blackburn Road Medical Practice in Accrington (Improving Access).
