A Multi-Million pound luxury development project which has transformed a derelict town centre district is set to be unveiled.
Developers says the 55 apartments on six floors will provide "an exciting alternative approach to modern lifestyle".
The scheme is at Scaitcliffe Lodge in Accrington, near Hyndburn Council's offices at Scaitcliffe House, Ormerod Street.
The former overgrown site has been landscaped and the derelict lodge redeveloped and restocked with fish, while the national cycle trail runs close by.
Improved lighting and landscaping has also taken place.
Future plans will see shops built, including a convenience store, and an office block.
The one and two-bedroom apartments are the latest development from Globe Enterprises, a partnership between Barnfield Developments, regeneration company Stuart Nevison and Hyndburn Council.
The consortium has previously undertaken regeneration projects including the nearby Globe Centre and the Superbowl and Vue Cinema complex off Hyndburn Road.
A Globe Enterprises spokesman said: "We have consistently invested time and effort to be a successful and growing business while benefiting the people of Accrington.
"While many developers have been throwing up overpriced apartments all over the country to cater for bulk investors, Waterside has been an expensive property to build, featuring first-class materials and design, with a view to selling directly to home owners."
The grand opening is on Saturday from 10am to 5pm when three show apartments will be available to view.
The apartments are on sale for between £89,950 and £142,950.

If you want to look into the future then look at the past. Every-age has its manias. There\'s been \'canalmania\' and \'railwaymania\', to name but two. The modern equivalent is \'apartmentmania\'. I work in Manchester and the sky-line is littered with cranes for building apartments. A couple of years ago I remarked to a colleague: \"Who\'s going to buy them?\" \"Smart investors\", he said. \"You never lose money in property\". Yeah, right! You can now pick-up apartments in the city for 50p on the £. The same is true in Leeds, where having driven through the south side of the city centre I was astounded by the amount of new-build flats dominating the sky-line. They too, were bought by \'smart investors\' who have now lost their shirts. Liverpool is drowning in apartments that no-one will touch with a barge-pole; and rightly so. There\'s gross over-supply. What we have here are the slums of to-morrow. One has to be glad that Accrington is attracting inward investment but that does not mean that all investmant is sound and justified. As the examples of the big regional cities show much of the new inward investment there has been a gross mis-allocation of capital. The word Accrington and the term luxuty apartments does seem a strange juxtaposition, but places can change and sometimes for the better. The plans and perrmission for these will have been made at the very height of the recent \'apartmentmania\'. They are now being delivered to market at the beginning of what looks like a bust. Providing the supply of apartments is strictly limited then the new development may well be an asset for the town, but given current conditions it must be \'fingers crossed\' for all concerned. We wish them, and it , well.
