It great being given the opportunity to vote. It's just a shame the ballot cards haven't arrived so we can't vote. I wonder how many more have been 'lost' in the post. Oh, well off to the polling station to see if I can vote without my card. Will be pi**ed off if I can and will be asking where my card went.

Reading comment above, it is well worth reminding people that the only important bit is to be registered to vote.
The card is merely a reminder and no part of the legal process.

Mr Mugabe, you can have it. I still think you don't have enough, a bit like Labour here. (hopefully :) If I only have 2 to pick from it makes my decision a lot easier. Ummmm, which one. Where did BNP go?

I have to agree with you Not Pleased. Labour have brought this country to its knees and is now readying to chop its head off. If Conservative do get somewhere they are not gong to have a lot to play with to try and sort things out.

Unfortunate for those who only have 2 ultra right wing parties to vote for (Conservative and NooLabour). In my ward the NooLabour fascists have been running a dirty smear campaign against the LibDems, and just because of that the LD's will have to get my vote. NooLabour and Tories are the same party with the same policies - they all voted to take us into illegal wars of aggression, be involved in illegal torture flights, criminalise all UK citizens, sell us out to corporate scum, and a long litany of other crimes against humanity. It's time for a socialist party, not more of the same old fascist establishment - we fought world wars to combat fascism and they took over by stealth anyway. I sense the levellers are on the rise again... [bold]liberty, equality, fraternity![/bold]

The fascist NooLabour party should be outlawed, as should their ultra right wing brethren the Conservatives - between them they make the Nazi BNP look credible, and that is a scary prospect.
11 years of unsustainable growth through enslavement of the populous into record levels of personal debt and artificially inflated housing markets. Inflation suppressed by that same debt process. Wages lower in real terms (due to rising living costs and inflation-busting council tax rises) than 10 years ago. Unemployment at massive levels, yet disguised through manipulation of the figures and semantic arguments over the definition of 'unemployment'. More and more people on low incomes and temporary employment with fewer skilled jobs available. The Tories were bad, the NooLabourites carried their policies forward to greater extremes. If the Tories get back in again they will take us over the edge! Time for change...

I can understand the sudden attraction to the BNP in the present climate,but you have to remember that once a Fascist ogovernment is installed,just like a nasty gravy stain on your favourite white shirt,they are a bugger to shift...

The Labour Party are squandering the taxes on their ridiculous schemes which are ruining Darwen .
The Conservatives under Colin Rigby's rule have jumped into Rodney Aldridge's jacket pocket, and only want to draw their expenses with minimum effort.
The [italic]supposedly[/italic] For Darwen Party are only concerned with furthering their own, and friends businesses, Melia changes policy like the wind, when he's not taking orders from Rigby. The word Chamelion springs to mind. After all Melia stood as a Lib Dem in Darwen against the Darwen Independents not so long ago.
The Liberal Democrats are the only party to have consistently spoken out for the people and fought against injustice's that the people of Darwen have had to endure from the former Labour administration.
Now you know the facts you know who your voting for.
But most importantly get Labour out as they are conning the people of the Borough and the whole Country.

Mark wrote what had Labour given us since 1997.
Let's see:
* Stealth Taxes
* Hospitals full of managers and targets and patients STILL suffering.
* Introduction of 10% tax rate then removed it.
* Increased business taxes, smaller ones suffering and dissolving
* Virtually bankrupted the country.
* Sold of gold reserves
* Mass Imigration
* Tax payer paying for initiative failures
* Inflation that is greater than pay rises
* Inefective Police force for victims
* Fuel prices that are astronical. (£5.00 for 70 litres out here.)
* Innefective against Vote rigging. (Blackburn a good example)
* Our troops left in squalor. (immigrants etc.. getting better accommodation)
* Yob culture rampant.
* knee jerk reactions which cost millions
* Prescription charge increase, while Wales free and Scotland reduced.
I could go on.
I was around in the 60's, 70's and still am now. The difference is i got fed up paying my taxes for them to be wasted. So now I don't and it's great having money in my pocket. Which I wouldn't in UK. Thanks Labour for helping me make my decision.

Dont get why I hate tax in Saudia Arabia is having a go at so called immigrants in his attack. Strange hes an immigrant to a Country called Saudi Arabia.
Sounds like its ok for him or her to do it but no one else to do it.
In other words Why I Hate Tax Saudi Arabia you talk crap. People have to pay tax if they want services. Yes I am a Socialist at heart and would quite openly tax those at the top who have got away with their fair share since Maggie was at the Helm. When the oil drys are you telling me that Saudi and the Oil Producing Countries will have another industry to allow tax free parasites like yourself? I wait for your answers to the questions I have put to you regarding Immigration and Tax.

[/quote] You don't know how long I've been in Saudi. It could 5 years, it could be six months. My comments were made that Labour helped me make my decision to leave UK. Immigration in the UK is out of control. I'm not a parasite, I work long hours and earn every penny I make. I don't scrounge benefits, I put back into the Saudi economy by purchasing food and goods over here, I pay for translators as needed, pay for private medical insurance. The company I work for pay for a lot of things that immigrants in the UK don't pay for.
I still pay 100% council tax in the UK, and I don't even use the ammenities. My wife still shops in the UK, She still pays for her prescription charges, Or am I also a parasite of the UK as well because I am paying into both countries.
And I would still say Labour have crippled the UK with their actions. And yes, they have even heightened terrorism in the UK with their illegal war.
Do people have to pay tax to get services? unemployment is at its highest. we have the work shy and those who do want to work but can't. I appreciate that, but, they pay tax do they? Those who have their Rents paid, those that have their Council Tax paid. All paid for by the Tax Payer.
The immigrants, who come into the UK and have 3+ kids then expect the state to pay them to bring them up, and get housed as well. Do they all pay tax for services?
The immigrants who come into the UK and then queue up for medical services for free. Do they pay taxes?
If I wanted to learn a subject at Blackburn college, the main focus was is on free English language courses which reduced other courses for indigenous people leaving them unable to better themselves for employment.
I did not mind paying taxes, had done ever since I was old enough to work. What i did mind was paying taxes and seeing it being squandered.
Maggie, was not a saint, no government is. But when one says they are listening and then turn their backs on the indigenous population, then you need to ask the questions. Unfortunately, people are scared to nowadays

It\'s so easy to sit at the computer, at your own convienience and complain and criticise those people who have taken the decision to make a political committment isn\'t it? It is much more demanding and difficult to decide for yourself to participate fully in political life - locally, nationally, or globally and to work to effect positive change. Political change CAN only happen when people, ordinary people, make an effort within their own lives and decide to stop leaving it to Politicians. Every action of our lives is a political statement: what we eat; where we shop; what we wear; what job we do; how we use our recreation time - this is political life. I thank asif for voting and welcom his reminder that accross this planet some people are prepared to face violence and even loss of life to affirm their right to participate in the democratic process. IN this country we can vote in peace and safety - if their is no candidate that represents you then consider standing yourself. You do even have the choice to spoil your ballot paper. spoilt papers are counted too. Inaction is a weapon of mass destruction! Why don't these people go out and make a difference themselves for once then they'll see how much of a commitment is required and the extent of the sacrifice with regards time outside of a normal 9-5. These people are doing a full time job on top of a full time job. If you don't like something, there is nothing stopping you going out and make a difference yourself.

Mr Mugabe, you can have it. I still think you don't have enough, a bit like Labour here. (hopefully :) If I only have 2 to pick from it makes my decision a lot easier. Ummmm, which one. Where did BNP go?[/quote] Who cares where they went as long as they have gone. Mugabe would be impressed by the BNP - a party based on colour and run for the benefit of a small group of thugs.

The equivalent of shouting. Still, about what you would expect from a BNP supporter - volume over content.
