    Ex-pupils plan big reunion

TWO former Darwen schoolgirls are organising a reunion 20 years after leaving school.

Donna Martin (nee Townsend), 35, and Tracy Shepherd (nee Nuttall), 34, left Darwen Vale High in 1988, and are trying to get in touch with old friends through the website Friends Reunited.

Donna said: "We are looking for anybody who graduated between 1987 and 1989.

"We've got 43 people already, and there are about 600 people from those three years that could get involved."

The women are hoping to stage the reunion on Saturday, July 12, but need to know approximately how many are attending before they book a venue.

If you would like to know more about the event, contact Donna on 01772 424744 or at donna_martin@ tiscali.co.uk
