Harrow Ladies 1

Epsom Ladies 0 (March 16)

HARROW'S cup dreams continued as an inspired team performance saw them move into the semi finals of the English Hockey Trophy at the expense of Epsom Ladies.

Rarely have Harrow played better and their spirit and determination finally wore Epsom down.

The whole squad deserves credit but special mention should go to Tasha Dyson who scored the all-important goal early in the second half, and keeper Julie Fielder who pulled off a string of fine saves and has rarely played better.

Harrow's reward in the semi final is an away trip to North League Whitley Bay on April 14.

Although Epsom, currently top South League Division 1, and are vying for National League play-offs, Harrow were not daunted by the two division gap in status.

Harrow started well and were determined not to let their opponents settle and this seemed to rock Epsom who had perhaps expected an easy ride.

Helen Capp, Kerri Lendon and Simone Burns established midfield control and up front Carys Thomas, Tasha Dyson and Katie Hockley gave the Epsom defence no peace.

Then receiving Natalie Hilliard's short sideline pass Kerri Lendon found Dyson who slammed home to take the spoils.
