GURU Nanak's North Kent Sunday Senior Division side ensured they stayed top of the table when beating New Ash Green 3-2.
The Gurus raced into a 3-1 lead with goals from Daljit Rana, Jess Gill and Jaswinder Bhens. New Ash Green recovered well but could not force an equaliser.
Guru Nanak Kent County League Division 3 West side progressed to the semi-final of the Gordon Charity Cup when beating Gravesend League side Meopham 5-1.
After trailing 1-0 at the half-time, there was no stopping the Gurus as Scottie Bhens scored four times, as well as missing a penalty!
Despite the spot-kick miss, it was a great individual performance which put him joint top club goal scorer with Balbir Biela on 16. Jug Sian scored Nanak's other goal.
Guru Nanak Reserves of Gravesend Division 1 caused a major surprise in the Presidents' Cup. when they beat Locomotiv Dartford of the Premier Division 2-1, with Shane Edwards netting both goals.
