A-Levels: Accrington Academy Sixth Form

ON THE BALL Accrington Academy’s Steven Astbury got a distinction in sport and hopes to become a sports psychologist

Accrington Academy Sixth Form Centre gained 98 per cent pass rate and 89 per cent of students scoring at least one A* to C grade.

And all Accrington Academy students who applied for a university place have been successful.

Accrington Academy principal Andrew O’Brien said: “We are very pleased with the Academy’s first set of A-level results.

“We shall continue to build on this strong foundation and the identity and ethos that the sixth form has now established.

“Our AS Level results indicate that we are on track for these high standards to continue for our next academic year and we are very excited about the future.”

Accrington Academy Sixth Corm Centre’s Alex Dunn, who gained an A* and three As, said: “I’m over the moon.”
