Schools across East Lancashire out for summer!

SCHOOLCHILDREN across East Lancashire marked the end of term with fundraisers, Olympic-themed events, singalongs, and farewells.

From graduation hats, to teddy bears’ picnics, and even digging up a Millennium time capsule, children discovered ways to make the last days of school memorable.

Celebrations took on a charitable theme at some events, with youngsters at St Mary’s Nursery, in Wensley Fold, Blackburn, going for gold in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Meanwhile, children at Lower Darwen Primary School also lent a helping hand to the Madison Allan appeal, in memory of the young cancer battler, by running a nailbar to raise funds at the end of term.
