A DARWEN masters student has won a top marketing competition.
Ric Roberts, 26, of Marsh House Lane, was part of Team Thinkplant from Manchester Metropolitan University, who took part in The Pitch 2010 – an Apprentice-style marketing competition run by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Eleven teams from universities across the North had three minutes and only eight slides to deliver a marketing pitch for McCann Manchester’s client Cross Country Trains.
He said: “We’re delighted. It was amazing to have your ideas and work validated by people that really know what they’re talking about.”
The winning team gets 12 months free member-ship of the institute, plus the Chartered Institute of Marketing shield.
