Pupils from The Olive School, Blackburn visited Springfield Care Home close to their school to spend time chatting with residents and sharing festive gifts
A PRIMARY school has reached out to the older generation this Christmas sharing gifts and kindness.
Pupils from The Olive School in Blackburn made a visit to Springfield Care Home in Preston New Road with hampers of gifts for elderly residents.
The school was keen to support older people living in its local community as part of its festive winter gift programme.
Principal at the Mein Road school Julie Bradley said: “Through our visit to the care home we aimed to help spread some cheer and put smiles on the faces of older people – and our pupils certainly achieved that.”
