A SECONDARY school in Accrington has held a series of assemblies in a bid to end bullying.
As part of anti-bullying week last week Mount Carmel RC High School held a series of events with pupils throughout the school to mark the occasion.
Pupils from years seven to nine were given tasks to create a ‘Stop Bullying’ hand print and write a positive message on the theme of ‘all different, all equal’.
Older pupils from years 10 and 11 designed anti-bullying ‘bricks’ to create a graffiti wall displaying messages from pupils.
Activities for the week also took place in lessons.
To end the week a non-uniform ‘blue’-themed day took place with pupils asked to bring in a donation for school community Christmas events.
A spokesman for the school said: “Mount Carmel acknowledge the theme each year and organise resources, activities and advice for all pupils.”
