BLACKBURN College has seen an increase in its quality of teaching for the third time, according to the results of the National Student Survey (NSS).

The college was rated in the top 25 per cent of universities and colleges in England under the assessment and feedback category.

The figures show 81 per cent answered they were satisfied overall with the quality of the course.

Meanwhile, 90 per cent of those surveyed said overall they were satisfied with the quality of the course at Accrington and Rossendale College.

Dr Thomas Moore, principal and chief executive at Blackburn College, said: “The results confirm Blackburn College’s place as a leading provider of Higher Education and are a testament to the long-term commitment from the many staff members across Blackburn College who work to ensure we are providing the high quality academic environment for our students to flourish.

“I am especially pleased to see the category of ‘personal development’ rated very highly."
