AN out-of-school club has been rated ‘good’ following an inspection.
The Tower Club, which is based at Blacko Primary School in Nelson and has 24 children on the roll, was given an ‘outstanding’ rating for personal development, behaviour and welfare.
Inspector Michaela Francioli said staff at the Gisburn Road school have addressed recommendations made at the last inspection.
She said staff offer a range of experiences that complement children’s learning and place a strong emphasis on developing their social and emotional skills.
To improve she said the club needs to help raise staff’s practice and the quality of children’s play experiences to the highest level.
