Dancers line up for to take final bow

THE final of the dance section of The Blackburn Festival of Speech Music and Dance is taking place in Darwen this weekend.

Held in the Library Theatre, the events start at 9.15am on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Dancers range in age from the babies section, who are five, through to 18-year-olds.

Dancers come from as far as the North East and Yorkshire to perform classical ballet, national, tap, modern, character, song and dance and Greek.

There will also be International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) championship dance heats for the north of England, and a heat for Miss Dance of Great Britain.

Admission is by ticket, available on the door.
