VILLAGERS in Tockholes are looking to set up a cost-saving scheme for their oil supplies.
Different suppliers are currently delivering small amounts of oil to power houses and businesses in the area.
And the costs for delivery can show variations on 1,000 litre orders by as much as £80.
Spurred on by the credit-crunch, George Leavey who runs the Victoria Hotel in Tockholes is in talks with neighbours to order fuel together.
And then they can get an oil supplier to deliver to villagers in one drop, therefore keeping the costs down.
Oil would still be delivered and invoiced individually.
The scheme is only in its initial stages.
But anyone interested in taking part in the oil delivery scheme is asked to contact Mr Leavey at the hotel with an estimate of annual usage and the type of oil used.
