PLANS to build a seven-metre-high wind turbine at a farm in Tockholes have been announced.
Gerald Dunbar, of Bridge Barn, in Rock Lane, has submitted a planning application for the project.
The scheme would be used to provide some electricity for the site.
The “mini” turbine would have a 3.8-metre blade length and is designed to produce 2,000w of power at low wind speeds.
It would be sited at the property, which is near to St Stephen’s Church in Chapel Lane.
The application will be decided by planning bosses at Blackburn with Darwen Council.
