MORE than £8,000 worth of scaffolding equipment was stolen from business units.
Thieves broke into the yard of Albert Mill Unit, Albert Place, Lower Darwen, and stole materials including planks, poles, and bolts.
Police believe more than one person was involved, and a vehicle was used to transport the goods.
The theft happened between 3pm and 2.15am on Sunday.
A police spokesperson said: "It is highly likely a vehicle was used as the stolen items were both large and heavy.
"I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, or knows who is responsible, to contact the police."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 08451 25 35 45, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
