A POST office and shop has shut for refurbishment after rain caused flooding last month.
Hoddlesden Post Office, based at the Village Corner Shop, Queen Street, should reopen on February 7.
The shop, which was raided last month and the culprit was caught using the shop's CCTV footage, is undergoing a full makeover including the installation of a purpose-built serving counter, more spacious interior with room for a wheelchair, and level access through an automatic door.
Customers can use Darwen Post Office, The Circus, or Guide Post Office in Haslingden Road, in the meantime.
The Village Corner Shop is opening temporarily in the Carus Centre from 6.30am to 9am then 3.30pm to 6.30pm from Monday to Friday and 6.30am to midday at the weekend.
