A HODDLESDEN resident has set up a new group for community organisations to share and exchange equipment and knowledge for free.
Linda Lynn has named the service BASIL after her Corgi dog, but the name also stands for Borrow And Share: Inter-community Lending service.
It is a voluntary service and welcomes use by all groups, clubs and organ-isations in the East Rural ward.
It is hoped the service will form a comprehensive library of equipment and skills which registered members can access.
The idea is that by registering and using the service, oragnisations will be able to get the most out of their groups by accessing fresh skills and resources.
Tables, camcorders and laminators are all available to use free of charge, but resources such as cam-corder tapes will be charged for.
By registering as many groups as possible, it is hoped BASIL will be able to provide a huge array of skills and resources.
For more information and to register, today call Linda on 01254 760097 or Janet Watson on 01204 597927.
