The East Rural Network held their second annual Scarecrow Festival this weekend.

The Burns family won a TV and the coveted Lynn Dunning Memorial Trophy, named after the late former Darwen Vale headteacher, for their Wizard of Oz scarecrows.

The family was presented with their prizes at the Carus Centre, Hoddlesden, by the Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen, Coun Karim Foster.
