PEOPLE in Darwen are being urged to keep their properties secure after a spate of burglaries.
Between 2am and 5am on February 4, houses and cars on Chapman Road, Glenshiels Avenue and Carcus Avenue, Hoddlesden, were targeted by thieves.
They stole an X Box 360, hedge trimmer and two jackets. Police are stepping up patrols.
Community beat manager PC Dean Briggs said: “We have recently launched a high-profile campaign, Operation Spartacus, to tackle vehicle crime.
"But we need the public’s help to make it more difficult for criminals to operate.
“I urge residents to keep their homes and houses secure at all times.”
Anyone with information should call police on 0845 1 253545 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
