HODDLESDEN Millennium Green Committee hosts its 13th annual ‘grand picnic’ this weekend.
A large programme of entertainment has been lined up for the family event, which will this year celebrate the green being given ‘Queen Elizabeth II Fields in Trust Status’.
There will be face painting, children’s bowling competitions, a story-teller, crafts for children, and a tombola.
There will also be a live performance from popular local band Blowjangles.
A spokeswoman for the committee said: “Bring along a picnic, and something to sit on.
“This should be a great event for the whole family to get involved with.”
The event runs on Sunday, between 1pm and 5pm.
