A NEW child safety booklet has been produced called Teddy Takes A Tumble" to co-incide with a new walk to school campaign.

Capita Symonds has joined forces with Blackburn with Darwen Council for the project which is designed to raise awareness of the issues on road safety.

The book is aimed at children aged three to five years and tells the story of Billy and Teddy's journey to school and the safe places they find to cross the road.

To celebrate the launch, parents, children and teachers from Roe Lee Park School joined members of Capita Symonds casualty reduction team in an organised walk to school yesterday.

The school will hold special assemblies and provide certificates and stickers to all children who walk to school.
