PEOPLE in Darwen are being called on to take part in a volunteer training programme.
Bolton Lads and Girls Club, which encourages youngsters from nearby areas such as Darwen to join them, is looking to train a new group of volunteers.
The club is looking for more people for its new eight-week volunteer training programme designed to encourage group members to support each other.
It is packed with challenges and youth club taster sessions to give hopefuls a glimpse of what they can expect as fully-trained volunteers.
The club has also put plans in place for a Level Two Sports Community Leaders course, which is due to begin at the end of June.
Anyone interested in youth work and has the enthusiasm to make a positive difference to young peoples' lives, or for more information about the forthcoming sports volunteers' programme, call Rebecca on 01204 540109.
