VOLUNTEERS are still needed for the Grand Summer Picnic on Hoddlesden Millennium Green this summer.
The annual event, which attracts around 120 local people, will not go ahead if help cannot be found.
The organisers are looking for assistance on the date, which is still to be decided.

Help would involve drawing up newsletters, organising raffle prizes, delivering newsletters, preparing the green, mowing the grass and erecting tents.
Michelle Wild, from the commitee organising the event, said: "Without these additional volunteers, the whole event may not be able to go ahead. So many people have enjoyed the event for the past seven years.
"Three or four volunteers would make the difference and ensure that the event could take place successfully in 2008.
"I really do not want to think about cancelling the event as community-based events are important and everyone has such a fantastic time."
Anyone able to volunteer to help should contact Michelle on 07711 340 361.
