SPONSORSHIP for Darwen's annual music festival can still be pledged.
Local firms are being encouraged to get behind Darwen Live, which takes place on the bank holiday weekend of May 25 and 26 and is now in its ninth year.
The event will feature local and internantional performers such as The Bluetones, and former Monkees guitarist and singer Peter Tork.

WEC Group, based in Junction Street, have pledged £10,000.
It has sponsored the main stage in Market Street but there are two other stages in Darwen Library Theatre and Knott Street Community Centre.
This year, the borough council has taken over the full organisation of the event and has been working to secure sponsorship to ensure the festival goes ahead.
Coun Michael Law-Riding said: "I am delighted the WEC Group has decided to come on board for this year's Darwen Live.
"I hope they are the first of many local and regional businesses who, building on the phenomenal success of previous years, will help us to bring yet another superb music festival for the people of East Lancashire."
Anyone wishing to sponsor Darwen Live can contact Brett Henry at Blackburn with Darwen Council on 01254 682 000.
Am I right in thinking that there is a drinking ban on the festival - if this is the case i would advise nop one to sponsor as who the hell will turn up to it???
