A DARWEN nursery nurse is running a marathon to raise funds for charity.
Sarah Roberts, who works at Turncroft Nursery, Highfield Road, is taking part in the Brathay Windermere Marathon this month to help boost Macmillian Cancer support.
The 40-year-old Darwen Dashers runner said she was taking part because she has lost three members of her family to cancer, including her brother-in-law.

Sarah, who is also a family co-ordinator at the nursery, is hoping to be fit enough for the 26.2 mile stretch on May 18.
The start and finish line is on the B5286 at the entrance to Brathay Hall, Ambleside.
She has raised around £300 so far and said she would be pleased with any additional donations.
Sarah, of Cherry Tree, Blackburn, said: "I ran the London Marathon last year and this marathon is a chance for me to give something back to the charity which helped my brother-in-law.
"Although it wasn't for very long, they are giving after care to my sister."
Anyone wishing to make a donation can visit Brenda's Collectables in Darwen three-day-market or contact Sarah at the nursery on 01254 701534 or 01254 200 946.
