Pet cemetery plan problems

A PET cemetery plan has hit a stumbling block because local councillors do not agree with the proposals.

Verna Sandiford and John Woodward care for sick animals and want somewhere to bury them when they die.

The couple, of Crowthorn Farm, off Broadhead Road, Edgworth, have lodged their plans with Blackburn Council and are awaiting a decision.

But councillors from the North Turton Parish Council have raised concerns about the proposals.

They say the size of the planned building - which would include a reception room, office, toilet and crematorium - is "disproportionate" to its proposed use and that existing buildings on the site could be used.

Concerns have also been raised about increased traffic, the proximity of the proposed development to neighbouring properties and the potential impact of fumes from the crematorium to local air quality.

A final decision on the proposals will be made later this year.

Light heartedly?Run a cat over squish squish is a light hearted comment? Well my dear I pity you if you if you think that is light hearted. It's positively evil actually.

dear montys mum,
how very odd of you to say
Obviously I will receive a nasty comment from you
i treat people the way they treat me. what you and most definately bouncer dont understand is that the comment was meant light heartedly along with all the other comments from various other people. As for the bullying from behind a computer comment that does baffle me. The only one i can see "bullying" is bouncer. Does she ever turn on a mans comment no, she directs them at women. You only need to read her comments about Ali to see that. As for reading a lot of my comments and wanting to upset people this was the only story i have commented on so you possible have me confused with someone else. People need to lighten up thats all i have to say.

who needs a bleeding pet cemetery if its a cat run the thing over to put it out its misery. squish squish lovely!!!

Donna, this is what you wrote and what antagonised the bouncer. Now, from an outsiders point of view what you put there is sick, but then again, so was the bouncers. If you don't want retaliation don't set out to upset people in the first place. To be honest Donna, I have read a lot of your comments and you do seem to want to upset people at times so you reap what you sow my dear.
Obviously I will receive a nasty comment from you in reply but am adult enough to understand that some people like to bully from behind a computer screen.

dear bouncer, obviously you cant remember what stupid sick comments you write. i think you will find that you are the one who starts to initiate the stupid sick comments. we were commenting on pet cemeterys and you brought "paedos" into it. the phrase pot kettle black spring to mind. in future take the comments by people in the light hearted nature that there intended and keep your stupid sick comments to yourself

Donna, it seems that you are the retard with your stupid, sick comments. Yes I know that not everyone is a cat lover but not everyone would come out with the comments that you made either you stupid, thick nasty b1tch.

I cant see the problem with a pet cemetery. After all a well cared for pet is part of the family so why not treat the end of the pets life with respect and dignity.

One, two, three, four, five
Everybody in the car, so come on
Let's ride to the liqueur-store around the corner
The boys say they want some gin and juice
But I really don't wanna
Beerbust like I had last week
I must stay deep
Because talk is cheap
I like Angela, Pamela, Sandra and Rita
And as I continue you know
They are getting sweeter
So what can I do I really beg and you my Lord
To me flirting it's just like sport, anything fly
It's all good let me dump it
Please set in the trumpet

Chorus:
A little bit of Andrea in my life
A little bit of Erica by my side
A little bit of Rita is all I need
A little bit of Gloria is what I see
A little bit of Sandra in the sun
A little bit of Emma all night long
A little bit of Ali here I am
A little bit of you makes me your man

Dogs and cats in particular should be treated with respect, and not turned into substitute babies.

Kerry, Little Lever says...

I don't think there is any need for pet cemeteries. When my old dog Fang Number 1 died, we buried him in the back garden. 1 year later we dug him up again and polished his skull with a brillo pad and some Mr Muscle. It now has pride of place on our mantelpiece next to our Suzies framed umbilicle cord.

just think the people who come to lay to rest their pets just might stop off for a cuppa or something stronger in one of the few hostelries in and around edgworth bringing much needed custom into the village through the week not thought about by the local councillors i suppose nothing in it for them is there? someone offering a quality service for pets to be laid to rest are seen to be stopped by the shortsightedness of the dingle parish council.you could not make it up.increased traffic means more visitors means more money into local community, people come to visit their pets at rest repeat customers maybe?
