POLICE are urging residents to be extra vigilant after a spate of burglaries in Edgworth.
Over the last two weeks, there have been three burglaries and a number of thefts in the Edgworth and Chapeltown area.
All have occurred during the day when thieves have stolen high value goods, including LCD televisions, jewellery and electrical items.
Thieves have also stolen stone from properties.
PCSO Chris Williams said: "Edgworth is a small community and I appeal to anyone with information about who is responsible for these burglaries to come forward.
"I urge residents in Edgworth to be extra vigilant and take extra precautions to secure their homes this festive period."
Anybody with information about these incidents is asked call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
