THE issue of parcel delivery to homes in Belmont is to be raised with Royal Mail chiefs.

Members of North Turton Parish Council heard at a recent meeting that parcels which cannot be delivered to homes are now taken to the Calvin Street sorting office in Bolton, rather than the local post office in Belmont.

A letter will be written to the Bolton District Postmaster outlining concerns that new arrangements are affecting the lives of pensioners and residents with mobility problems.
