A PARTY has been organised to raise funds in memory of a brave cancer campaigner.
The event is being held in memory of Lynn Hindle, 40, who worked for Blackburn with Darwen Council.
She lost her battle with cancer and kidney disease in 2009 after raising thousands for charity.
Lynn was a keen runner and became a World Transplant games champion following a kidney transplant in 2002 and completed the Race for Life just before she died to raise money for cancer research.
Proceeds will go to East Lancashire Hospice and Kidney Research UK.
It takes place at Blackburn Rugby Club on Saturday, September 18, from 7.30pm.
Tickets are £10.
Call Christine Wood on 01254 585228 or Wendy Johnson on 01254 585167.
