TWO Darwen residents have been fined £100 each for travelling on the railways without paying the fare.
Elizabeth Booth, 34, of Moor Close, Darwen, was fined £100 by Hyndburn magistrates for travelling from Bradford to Blackburn without paying her train fare, on January 13.
She also has to pay Northern Rail £13.20 compensation, £100 costs, and a £15 victim surcharge.
Pete Scott, 30, of Bolton Road, Darwen, was fined £100 by Hyndburn magistrates for travelling from Accrington to Blackburn, on November 22, without paying his train fare.
He must pay £2.80 compensation to Northern Rail, plus £100 costs, and a £15 victim surcharge.
