A 14-year-old boy was headbutted and then kicked repeatedly by a man angry that a snowball had been thrown at his house.
Blackburn magistrates heard the boy and his friends had been playing outside the home of Graham David Wall when the snowball was thrown.
They all ran off but shortly after Wall appeared in his car and after all the other boys had again run off he confronted the 14-year-old.
Wall, 40, of Spring Vale Garden Village, Darwen, was convicted after a trial of assaulting the boy.
He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £175 compensation and £775 costs.
Parveen Akhtar, prosecuting, said the boy fell to the floor after being headbutted and was then kicked as he lay there.
Wall then said to him: “If I see you or any of your inbred mates I’ll do it again.”
John Clish, defending, said his client was a man of previous good character.
Mr Clish said: “My client is a devoted family man and wants to put this behind him.”

A snowball thrown at a house - and the report doesn't say it was deliberate, they could have been having a snowball fight with each other - does not warrent violence of this level. What kind of monster repeatedly kicks a boy when he's already down? No wonder kids in this area are the way they are when violence from a "devoted family man" is condoned in a public forum.

They weren't thrown accidentally - but it was an accident they hit my house. Also I had many hit my house deliberately, but I didn't feel the need to get in my car, chase the children, heatbut them and kick them when they're down. Only a violent monster would act like that.

Anyone who condones and lets kids do things like this without considering the consequences of those children's actions on other people are in fact inadequate feeble couldn't-care-less chav imbecile parents who couldn't care what their kids get up to and can't stand having them or themselves challenged by authority or others when they do wrong. In my day in the 70's and 80's as a child you were smacked and severely punished for doing things like this;nowadays too many parents absolve those responsibilities and let their kids do whatever the hell they please without any sort of control or punishments for doing so. Well done to that man for standing up to these little sods!

Mr Wall committed a deliberate act of violence and if he's a family man what sort of example he he setting to his children? - that it's alright to use extreme premeditated violence against someone much younger than yourself? Its no wonder that many young people have no respect when people like Mr Wall obviouly have no respect and resort to violence so quickly.GP wrote:Only an idiot or Naive person would think they threw a snowball (rolled it up e.t.c.) at a house by accident. Some idiot threw one at my car but when I got out to confront a group of drunks were with him - adults throwing snow balls at cars on icey roads - pathetic.
