DARWEN Police are appealing for information after a spate of attacks on vehicles left a bill totalling £2,000.
Seven parked cars were scratched in the St Alban’s Road area between Saturday night and 5am on Sunday.
Police have noted a pattern to the damage and suspect the same individual, or group, carried out the rampage.
Sgt Kevin Cavanagh condemned the attacks.
He said: “These acts of vandalism have left several families with badly-scratched cars, and out of pocket.
“When people park their cars they should reasonably expect them to be safe.
"Darwen Police will not tolerate this behaviour and I am appealing for any help in bringing these people to justice.”
Anyone with information should call 0845 125 3545 and ask to be put through to Darwen Police Station.
