Darwen Library's clearance sale

Darwen Library refreshed its stock by throwing its doors open for a grand sale.
Books of all genres, DVDs, videos and CDs that were no longer needed in the library were put on sale so new stock could be introduced.
A library spokesperson said: “Every so often new stock comes in and old stock which has accumulated over the years has to make way.
"We used to do it piecemeal but now we have decided to do the sale in a big way.
"It has been very successful with a lot of people coming through the doors.”
