AN original comedy production will be performed in a library theatre this week.

Young Marx, a new comedy written by Richard Bean and Clive Coleman, will be performed at Darwen Library Theatre next week.

The Sky Arts production follows Karl Heinrich Marx in 1850, who is said to be Europe’s most feared terrorist hiding in Dean Street, Soho.

Rory Kinnear stars as the protagonist Marx, who has appeared in productions Penny Dreadful, Othello, while Oliver Chris is Engels, who has appeared in Twelfth Night and Green Wing.

Nicholas Hytner is the director of the production, which will be broadcast live from The Bridge Theatre, London.

The production will run for 220 minutes and is suitable for people aged 15 and above.

It will be performed at Darwen Library Theatre, on Knott Street, on January 11.

Doors will open at 6pm and the production will start at 7pm.

Tickets will cost £13 in advance and £12 for groups of 10 or more.
