PLANS have been lodged to build eight apartments.
If approved, the apartments would include parking facilities, amenity space, and bin store in land adjacent to Bury Fold Lane and Bolton Road in Darwen.
The application has been submitted to Blackburn with Darwen council by developer Ashley Reece.
The land is currently occupied by a number of derelict buildings and the site has previously been granted planning permission for an extension to the existing buildings to create new apartments parking and landscaping.
The developer said the new scheme would be of a similar principal.
Agent Architecture Design Ltd said in planning documents on behalf of Mr Reece: “We believe that this proposal will enhance the character and context of the local area and ultimately strengthen its identity both economically and geographically.”
