DARWEN Library set to host a free one day festival.
The storytelling mini festival will take place on September 30 from 11am until 4pm.
The free entry event is suitable for all ages and will feature folk tales in the theatre, poetry in the children’s library and a performance in a whale.
Storytellers will include Peter Chand, Dominic Berry and Talking Birds.
The day will also feature taster sessions from the Library Crafters and the Library Larks and a children’s colouring in competition, with a chance to win tickets to this Autumn's children’s show ‘Little Frankenstein’ at Darwen Library Theatre on Tuesday 31st October.
The Storytelling Festival has been organised as part of a season of storytelling taking part across Lancashire.
project co-ordinator, Stephie Jessop, said:“We wanted to bring something a little bit different to Darwen and give people the opportunity to see the amazing versatility of the library building, and the potential it has to be a real community led hub of activity.
