CALLS have been made to ‘all Darwen businesses’ to get involved with an event designed to ‘invigorate the community’.

The event is being organised by Darwen Town Council and will take place on Friday, June 30, from 5pm, then all day Saturday, July 1, and Sunday, July 2.

Stall holders are still wanted for the event across all three days at Darwen Vale High School.

“We want to try and invigorate the local community and bring new business to the area.

“We want to see all the business in the area to thrive, anyone is welcome to get involved.

“Smaller businesses don’t get opportunities like this.”

Stalls are particularly wanted to host dance themed items such as clothing, health and beauty products.

However all business are invited to get involved and organisers are hoping it will become an annual event in the business calender.

“It’s really brilliant, there was thousands there last year.

“The stall event is a great opportunity for businesses to get involved and speak to people. I hope all of Darwen’s businesses get involved.”
