AROUND 266 homes have been left without power in Darwen.
Bosses at Electricity North West said the issue was connected with Darwen substation and was caused by a faulting transformer.
Homes across the BB3 area, including Rectory Close, Priory Drive and Chancel Place were affected.
An Electricity North West spokesman said: "Our engineers have been working quickly all morning to fix the problem, and we aim to have everyone's power restored before 4pm today.”
Electricity North West have tweeted about the issue which they hope to get fixed this afternoon.

It is believed that the supplies were removed for safety as they was a fault on a transformer.
