A MAN fell out with his partner after he left a party at their home with another woman and returned with mud on his back.

Blackburn magistrates heard the row with his girlfriend ended with Derek Clinning, 32, breaking windows and mirrors.

Clinning, of Barleybank Street, Darwen, pleaded guilty to criminal damage to windows belonging to Frankie Hargreaves.

He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

Parveen Akhtar, prosecuting, said the couple had been in a relationship for two years.

They were at home on the night of the incident drinking with friends and at some stage Clinning and a woman disappeared for about an hour.

“When he came back in accusations were thrown around and he and his partner had a row,” said Miss Akhtar.

She said Clinning had smashed three mirrors but it was accepted these were his property and two windows.

Gareth Price, defending, said his client was adamant nothing went on between him and the girl.

He said: “When they came back in people started to make jokes but it went on from there."
