SEVEN people from Darwen have been fined for failing to have a valid television licence.
The separate cases were all heard at Preston Magistrates Court on Friday.
Charli Atkinson, 24, of Coulthurst Gardens, was fined £60 and ordered to pay cost of £120 after being detected on January 4.
John Bambridge, 48, of Ivinson Road, was also fined £60 and ordered to pay £120 costs for the the same offence on October 20, 2016.
Conrad Black, 27, of Bedford Street, was fined £113 and ordered to pay £120 costs for having no television licence between October 17 and October 21 last year.
Laura Boushear, 37, of Hazel Avenue, was fined £220 and told to pay £120 in costs for using a television without a licence on January 3, 2017.
Lee Farran, 32, of Sandringham Road, was fined £60 and ordered to pay costs of £120 for the offence committed on October 20 last year.
Stacy Ruddy, 29, of Gifford Way, was also fined £60 and told to pay £120 in costs after being detected on January 3 this year.
Mark Worden 43, of Birch Hall Avenue, was fined £60 and £120 in costs were ordered to be paid after being detected on January 3.
The defendants were so ordered to pay a surcharge of £30.
The cases were heard in their absence.
