WORKING parties to clean-up two sites in Darwen have been organised for next month.
The first one will be at Whitehall Park, where a group of volunteers have started fencing off a new children’s garden area.
The fence has been completed but the supporters group is waiting on a gate to be put in place.
The next working party will be on Saturday, April 1, where there will be a clean-up in preparation for the Easter egg hunt.
Times are to be confirmed.
Chairman Steve Duncan said: “There was a great turnout for our last event, where we were also able to clean the fountain.
“If anyone that can offer their spare time on April 1 it would be appreciated.”
There will also be a working party at Darwen Cemetery on Saturday, April 8, from 10am to 1pm.
The friends group will meet people in the Western Cemetery off Bolton Road.
Everyone is welcome at both events.
